The Global Merchandise Manager for Wrangler ATG, Scott Halsey, highlighted some of Wrangler ATG’s new sustainable designs at the 2023 Outdoor Retailer Summer.
New for the season is the Breeze Short-Sleeve Shirt. As part of the Wrangler “We Care” program that aims to produce garments with materials and techniques that have a lower impact on natural resources, the shirt is dyed through GiDelave, which uses 90% less water and 50% less energy than traditional dyeing methods.
The Breeze Short-Sleeve Shirt is made from 100% moisture-wicking cotton and features UV protection. The fit is loose and comfortable and adds breathability with a back vent. Another detail is the built-in lens cleaning cloth on the inside of the shirt. Other Wrangler Short Sleeve Shirts can be seen here: https://amzn.to/47ajOHI
Wrangler ATG also showcased the Long Sleeve Camp Shirt. Made from a brushed stretch knit, the shirt is extremely soft and comfortable and includes a zipper and flat pocket. The brushed knit also enhances the shirt’s thermal insulation and cushion and meets Wrangler’s We Care standard, with 70% of the fabric in a product sourced from a Preferred Materials list backed by data validating the material’s environmental impact.
