Here’s the Larry chair from the Travel Chair Company. It’s a packable travel chair that will pick up the slack for you. Its lightweight design offers some good reasons for you to consider it for your summer plans. We took Larry on the airplane, the Sacramento River trail, and even up the coast to the ocean around Mendocino, California. We were pleased at how well Larry fit into our own travel plans.
The Larry chair is a good addition to your camping gear and equipment along with air beds, tents and flashlights. This lightweight chair is easy to bring anywhere, making it an ideal chair for outdoor use. This chair may be small, but it doesn’t mean that it isn’t durable and reliable. The adage that little things can pack a punch holds true for the Larry chair. This is certainly your best choice when you need a chair for your outdoor camping tours.
In two swift moves, Larry is ready for you to be seated. Made of water-resistant Ballistic nylon mesh, this travel chair will be with you for several seasons and family sporting events to come. Starting out at a folded dimension of 2.5″ x 12″ x 19,” simply unfold and snap into the two locked positions and you have yourself a 19″ x 19″ x 24″ chair! Larry will seat up to 250 pounds on the 3.6 pound frame.
Transporting the chair is easy with the nylon mesh bag that accompanies it, with two options to carry; either over the shoulder or by hand with respective well-sewn straps. The shoulder strap is adjustable, so the little campers in your group will be able to help carry Larry as well. We found the nylon mesh bag to be versatile also, as a small laptop fits nicely into the case; two Velcro enclosures keep items safely stowed.
We like how the travel chair portability worked for us on the airplane. Boarding the aircraft with Larry tucked safely in its carrying
case; it fit nicely in the overhead bin, or also under the seat in front of us.
It was refreshing to step into spring with the Larry chair along the river. We were able to get pretty close to the river’s edge without having to worry about getting the chair a little wet. At about 10″ off the ground, we were able to take off our hiking boots for a bit, and dip our toes in the running mountain water. The areas of the chair that did get wet, dried off fairly quickly; and we were able to get back into hiking formation, (with our boots back on of course).
For a suggested retail value of $50.00, you will find the Larry chair a convenient way to provide additional seating at a family barbecue, or a needed resting spot along the trail. We have the chair slipped into the side of our closet for now, but we won’t let Larry get too comfortable there.
The Travel Chair Company offers two color choices for this chair, black or blue.
