Clif Bar’s holiday flavors satisfy your need to replenish energy during outdoor activity; while reminding you of the holiday season
One of the reasons fresh-air junkies can’t wait to go out and climb, mountain bike, hike and get outdoors, is to forget the stresses the the holidays can bring. Elbowing your way through crowds and fighting over mall parking spots may not be an activity we enjoy, unless you’re a mixed martial arts fighter or a shopaholic. But one of the things we do enjoy about the holiday season is the smell of holiday foods and knowing exactly how many miles we’ll have to hike or ride to burn those extra calories we’re going to consume.
That’s one of the reasons why we loved the three holiday flavors Clif Bar offers during this season. Not only do the bars provide protien, carbs and fiber for much needed energy after a long hike or trail run, they also reminded us of the great holiday flavors that mom doesn’t have the time to fix for us anymore. Clif Bar’s Spiced Pumpkin Pie, Cranberry Orange Nut Bread and Iced Gingerbread flavors tasted great and are much healthier than the real thing. Our favorite was the Iced Gingerbread.
Another great aspect of Clif Bar’s holiday flavors, is that one percent of the net sales from these seasonal flavors is donated to the Winter Wildlands Alliance, an organization that works on behalf of outdoor adventurers to address national issues that impact winter wildlands.
While these Clif Bars won’t replace your mom’s or grandmother’s cooking, they just might become jealous enough to bake your favorite pumpkin pie or gingerbread cookies from scratch when they hear you rave about them.
