The Triton Three-Eye deck shoe is stylish, but it also offers some unique performance aspects for the avid boater.
Those with fashion savvy know that deck shoes are back in style, but Sebago is one of the original deck shoes that not only look great, but also provide excellent performance for boating enthusiasts. Sebago’s newest Triton Three-Eye deck shoe provides a new look for 2011, but it’s still a high-performance deck shoe that won’t disappoint.
The shoe’s lightweight EVA midsole and Sebago’s Triton non-marking sole provide plenty of wet traction on deck, or on the boardwalk. We really like that the Triton’s eyelets are corrosive resistant so they won’t rust when they meet sea water and a padded tongue makes them even more comfortable.
Sebgao also added an antimicrobial footbed making the shoes great for wearing without shocks, and the premium full-grain leather uppers remain flexible but supportive. An additional nylon shank also offers additional support and leather and fabric lining keep them comfortable all day long.
Although we couldn’t subject the Sebago Triton’s to numerous sailing excursions, they were very comfortable to wear with and without socks on numerous occasions. We’d recommend wearing them with socks to break in the leather, but it doesn’t take long for it to become soft and pliable to wear the shoes without socks.
We took the shoes to a popular amusement park and got them completely soaked. The Triton’s never felt spongy or heavy. They simply dried and continued to provide odor-less and anti-fungal performance. The non-skid soles provide excellent traction and keep your feet feeling great and comfortable, even during a full day of walking. We liked the fact that the fit and feel like a comfortable pair of sneakers but look great with shorts or with casual wear.
Sebago’s Triton Three-Eye deck shoes retail around $110 and are available in Tan or Blue. For more information, visit www.Sebgago.com
