Rossignol’s new flagship all-mountain ski had Freeskier testers raving, “This ski loves to rail. It’s easy to initiate but very, very stable. And it likes speed.”
The new Experience 98 is a true “one-ski-quiver” that’s claiming accolades across the industry including a SKI Magazine Gold Medal Award and Freeskier Editor’s Choice.
New for 11-12, the Experience 98 introduces Auto Turn Rocker, a combination of high traditional camber underfoot with low rocker in the tip and tail. The result: a powerful all-mountain ski equally at home floating through the deep or laying trenches on hardpack.
“…Eminently powder ready” and “No.1 for Hard Snow Grip” – SKI Magazine
The wood core sandwich construction with two layers of titanal lends an extremely powerful, damp and stable feel that eats up vibrations and provides great snow contact.
Auto Turn’s traditional camber underfoot supplies the edging power for railing on-trail while the low tip and tail rocker increases maneuverability and eases turn initiation in all snow conditions.
Combined with a 98mm waist, Auto Turn increases floatation in powder and thunders through chop and crud.
“Any skier who likes a beefy, damp ski…will enjoy this…In my opinion, this is a real ski.
“The tip rocker and 98mm width make it an excellent soft snow ski…a true cross-terrain machine.” – Charlie Bradley, Senior Boot-fitter, Boot Doctors -Taos, NM
