Rossignol S7 Pro Model Mancini Ski, Designed For A Good Cause

maxmanciniProfessional telemark skier Max Mancini developed Rossignol’s first professional model telemark ski called the System S7 Pro Model Mancini, of which all of his royalties will go towards the Children’s Hospital in Denver, Colorado.

Mancini’s decision stems from a tragic car accident a year ago, that took the life of his pregnant girlfriend Molly Jackson. While the tragedy also left Mancini recovering from a shattered skull, his dedication to  helping others is now one of his biggest priorities.

“Skiing for me has been such a tremendous therapy for every thing I have been through, it has given me so much and it is my hope that I can share that with others,” Max comments. In addition to the proceeds, of which Rossignol will match up to 20 percent, Mancini started a children’s ski camp called Life Turns. The camp takes children who are living with illnesses and takes them out into the snow.

The System S7 Pro Model Mancini skis feature a unique graphic design created by Mancini’s best friend Dustin Handley. The skis are based on the Rossignol S7 design and feature the company’s Amptek technology. Amptek features a combination of traditional camber under foot and more progressive “rocker” at the tip and tail. The combination of the two makes the S7 float better in deep snow and hold on hard snow.
