Suunto combined a variety of functions in its new Traverse outdoor watch, that allows the wearer to keep track of their trek and position via GPS. Featured at the 2015 Outdoor Retailer show, Eva Pulkkinen at Suunto, explained some of the features that include topographic maps that help make route planning simple to navigate and easier to read. The Traverse allows you to follow your progress in-route with altitude and distance statistics and save points that you can mark along the way. An automatic breadcrumb trail also helps hikers and backpackers to easily retrace steps when necessary.
When combined with Suunto’s Movescount App fo iOS and Android, it can track your activity, step and calorie counts and allows you to transfer these recorded activities to your Movescount account. For more information, visit www.suunto.com/traversecollection.
